【Ah! Mom's Coming!】
I was told that my mom is coming to Tainan this weekend, and she's going to spend the night she come with me. It's all good and well for me to invite her to my place, but the moment I remembered what happened the last time she came visit me, I couldn't stop wishing it was only a joke.
I have my own order for everything in my room. It might seem messy to others, but I always know where I put my stuffs, but when it's too tidy, I become nervous and cannot do anything well. This is the problem, my mother's view is the very opposite of mine. She thinks one cannot do anything effectively instead of staying in a tidy room. That makes me feel painful, for I must spend a whole day to put every single thing into "her" order to please her, and to make myself feel stupid of doing nothing right. Why can't my mother understand my style of ordering things, and I feel comfortable being "myself". At least I won't find my electric rice cooker blocking my way to the bookshelf when I'm trying to find my linguistic textbook, or find my wallet lying on my chopsticks.

【Hotpot】
My friends and I went to Tainan city on January first. We didn't go shopping or any of those money-spending places, we simply chose a nice coffee shop to spent our afternoon time. It was an afternoon full of coffee smelling and laughter.
I sent them away at the train station around 5:40 p.m., then I received my colleague's invitation for dinner at her new house. Another two coworkers picked me up near my place, they had just bought everything we were going to have for dinner that night from a supermarket. It took us a while to find her new house, it is a lovely little house in a quiet lane. We had the vegetables washed, the rice cooked, and the water in the pot boiled. The hotpot was covered with vegetables, so it had a rich greenish look. All through the dinner time, we were trying hard to gobble up all the lettuces, Chinese cabbages and vegetables I don't even know their names. Then we had several cups of tea after dinner, what a great feast it was on the first day of a year!

【Welcome To 2008】
Finally, the last day of 2007 has come. After I substituted my colleague's class, I went straight toward the train station and hopped on the nearest train which led to Tainan. I had my late dinner in a small cozy restaurant with a group of friends. It's always nice to be with them, I can hear so many things from them which I don't know or never thought about. It's much more different from classmates' chatting.
We arrived Kaohsiung by midnight, the stage was already crowded with people around. Not being able to go near the stage, we stood far away from it, also crowded. The fireworks show didn't seem less splendid because of the distance, instead, we could see the whole view. Colorful sparks scattered into the sky after the explosion. One of my friends named it as a perfect moment, and we all agree with him. I was expecting the sunrise at the lighthouse in Chijing, but it would take at least 5 hours before the sun rose, so I closed my eyes and decided to rest until my friend drove to Chijing. However, I noticed the scenery around was very familiar when I opened my eyes the next time. We were back to my school! They had canceled the trip seeing the sunrise earlier and forgot to tell me. Anyway, although I was a little disappointed at not seeing the first sunrise in 2008, I had an extremely sound sleep that night.
